I'm a wife, an organizer, an artist, a mom, and a fully licensed home daycare provider. After building websites for over a decade, I was ready to simplify and give back in a more tangible, rewarding way. It was also the perfect time for our family, as running a home daycare means spending more time with my own little daughter as well. So here we are!
My goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment that is also social, creative, and fun. I believe all children need safe space to play, room to move their bodies, resources to help them explore, and a good dose of fresh air and dirt on a daily basis.
I don't have formal training as a specialized educator, but my own early education took place in the first school run by Responsive Classroom, and I've valued alternative education ever since. I'm fascinated by Montessori, Waldorf, and other approaches that allow children to move, to explore, to learn to love learning, and to be KIDS first and foremost!
As a provider licensed through the EEC, I perform a minimum of 10 hours of professional development every year, so I continue to grow in my own abilities as an educator.
I'd love to meet you if you are considering daycare in my area. Please get in touch!
I also have references I can provide upon request.
Tips & Tricks
Having been taking care of kids for a few years now, I'm in a unique position to share some insights on different products and brands I've encountered. I have 6 babies / toddlers / big kids on a daily basis, and each comes with their own set of clothing, diapers, bottles, etc. I'm also in a position to really appreciate the most durable, useful, efficient, and SAFEST things, since I have to do things like get all 6 babies and toddlers ready for playing outside in under an hour - every single day!
So I thought I'd share some tips and tricks for each age group. Please click below to download a PDF that's most relevant to you!
